Prior to marriage, we’re faced with the difficult decision of finding that special person whom God wants us to choose as our spouse.
We’re also faced with the societal pull of sexual impurity. H.I.M.’s Pre-Marriage programs and resources are geared towards those not yet in serious relationships, those in serious relationships contemplating marriage, and those who have made an engagement commitment to each other.
Our “Engagement Matters” weekends are designed to help engaged or pre-engaged couples confirm God’s best for them in their relationship with each other, and to help equip couples for a marriage in which both God and one another are honored. They are typically offered twice a year in the Boston area, and have been well-received. Here are a few comments sent in by attendees:
[Engagement Matters] gave us a better understanding of the Biblical view of marriage and tools to strengthen our relationship.
The weekend was awesome. It gave us material to work with now and refer to after marriage.
We are motivated even more to stay pure and grow in our relationship with God as well as each other.
The weekend gave us a better perspective on areas we need to consider and work on before we get married.
We are truly thankful to have been given the opportunity to participate in Engagement Matters. What an amazing weekend it was!
THANK YOU for such an encouraging, instructive, and uplifting time! We have been talking nonstop about how great of an experience it was . . .
We strongly recommend Engagement Matters to others, even if they’re pursuing marriage counseling with other pastors and/or counselors!
I would like to take a moment to thank you both for the invaluable experience of the Engagement Matters weekend. It was a real eye opener . . .
Thank you VERY much for the wonderful seminar this weekend! We had a wonderful time! Your stories and advice were full of grace and humor . . .
The Friesens are great! Many of the pastors from our church spoke very highly of them, which was a great incentive for us to attend.
We found this conference to be full of valuable, biblically-based information, and it was an encouragement and affirmation in our relationship with one another, too.
Engagement Matters was a huge blessing for us! Thank you for your insights and passion for helping couples have better relationships!
We couldn't have loved our Engagement Matters experience any more. It continuously guides our conversation . . .
Our biggest takeaway in Engagement Matters was the segment regarding husband and wife roles in a marriage, and had the most profound impact on our relationship.
As a primarily long-distance relationship couple, I think before Engagement Matters, we may have struggled on the communication front.
Probably one of our favorite parts of Engagement Matters was the talk by Kelly and Ryan. It gave us a very raw, real, and funny view inside a marriage . . .
