"The Great Marriage Adventure" 2025 HIM Newport Marriage Retreat
"The Great Marriage Adventure" 2025 HIM Newport Marriage Retreat
There is arguably no greater adventure story told in the Bible than the story of God delivering the children of Israel from slavery in Egypt to freedom in the lush land of Canaan.
There is likely no greater adventure for us as humans as the Marriage Adventure. It starts with the prospect of settling in a wonderful “promised land” called marriage. Along the way, however, there are outside circumstances and inside struggles that deter us from experiencing the promised land of marriage that we may have imagined. But in all of this, God is with us, continuing to guide us to His gift of a vital marriage. Come explore God’s desire for us, our expectations, challenges along the way, and entering a time of enjoying the “milk and honey” of marriage.
This year our worship will be led by Justin and Falon Unger. The Ungers have a special ministry to worship leaders, encouraging them in the process of leading God’s people in worship. This gifted couple will encourage you to worship through music as few are able.
We are also delighted to have David Guzik with us to speak at our Saturday evening session on “Experiencing God’s Power in the Great Marriage Adventure.” David is a very gifted Bible teacher who has an audible commentary on the entire Bible as well as a Study Bible coming out later this year. In addition to speaking Saturday night, David will be leading a pastor’s track during the two workshop sessions and the pastors’ ministry breakfast on Sunday morning.
The Newport Marriott is undergoing a fall refresh of all their rooms and therefore we currently are only able to offer rooms with two queen beds for registration. Also, please note there will be a $25 charge to upgrade to a King room.
