Upcoming H.I.M. Events

1. TRUE LOVE WAITS — FAMILY EDITION
On Saturday, March 25, True Love Waits—Family Edition is happening at Grace Community Church in Chelmsford. If you or someone in your family attended TLW-FE in 2005 or 2004, simply write "alum" on your registration form and attend this year again for only $10.00 per individual for the day, with a maximum of $50 for your family. If someone in your family attends this year for the first time, the individual cost for that person stays at $25, but your family maximum remains at $50 because of your status as an alumni. To register now, or for more information, visit True Love Waits webpage. If you'd like us to mail you a stack of brochures to distribute to friends or to your church youth group, please contact Janet Hathaway at 781-275-6473 (HIM Office) or eMail her at Janet@HIMweb.org.

2. FAMILY FOCUS NIGHT — March 25
The topic on March 25 will be “Making Your Kids Mind—Without Losing Yours.” All of us want our children to grow up to be men and women of character. But how does discipline help them to be all they can be? How can we correct them without crushing them? What discipline is appropriate? How can we help our children see discipline as a gift from us to them? Come on Saturday evening, March 25, for helpful insights into the world of discipline.

Family Focus Nights are evenings with an emphasis on strengthening marriages and families. The next one will be held on Saturday evening, March 25, at 7:30 pm, at Lexington Christian Academy. Paul and Virginia's teaching is informative and fun, and is followed with great discussion. There is no charge. Plan now to attend with friends. Your RSVP would be helpful but is not required: just call 781-275-6473 or email Paul@HIMweb.org — thanks!

3. ENGAGEMENT MATTERS WEEKEND — April 8–9
Engagement Matters is an experience designed to help engaged and pre- engaged couples confirm God’s best for them in their relationship with each other and equip them for a marriage that honors Him and each other. Please note that the upcoming April seminar will follow the 2-day schedule described in this year's Engagement Matters brochure rather than the 3-day schedule originally advertised, and thus will cost only $100/couple instead of $275. Though attendees must provide their own housing, we can help with arrangements if needed. We encourage you to spread the word about this valuable weekend. For more information, visit www.HIMweb.org or call 781-275-6473 and request a brochure

4. H.I.M. FAMILY CAMP 2006 AT CAMP BEREA
For those of you who have already registered for H.I.M. Family Camp this summer, just a heads up that final payments will be due to Camp Berea by May 15. Camp Berea will be sending out reminders to you ahead of time. For those who have not yet registered, we've just learned that a few cancellations have opened up some onsite housing for week two (August 19-25), so please call Berea ASAP to register if you are interested for that week: (603) 744-6344. If week one (August 13-18) fits your schedule better, visit our website to find offsite accommodation listings at a nearby B&B and then register with Camp Berea for the program alone. News You Can Use

5. WEDNESDAY FAMILY NIGHTS BEGIN IN MAYNARD
Last summer a group of families from the Maynard area approached Paul and Virginia and asked them to be part of a team committed to encouraging a local fellowship with a marriage and family emphasis. Starting Wednesday, March 1, Paul and Virginia we will be teaching a parenting class there each week. This will be preceded by a meal together, as well as a time of family singing and devotions. The whole evening will run from 5:30–8 pm. For more information as well as driving directions, visit the new Family Bible Fellowship web site at www.FBFweb.org.

6. NEW H.I.M. OFFICE OPENS
We are delighted to announce the opening of the new H.I.M. offices in Bedford, Massachusetts, and we extend our deep gratitude to the donors and volunteers who have made this possible. Our new official mailing address is: 209 Burlington Road, Suite 105, Bedford, MA 01730, and our phone number is 781-275-6473. These offices will allow all the H.I.M. business and counseling activities to be brought together into one centralized location. Event registrations, book orders, and donations should all be sent to this new address, effective immediately.

7. PAUL AND VIRGINIA, STUDENTS AT LARGE
Paul and Virginia are on track to hand in the first drafts of their respective dissertations by the end of this month, even though they are currently in the midst of a 10-day speaking tour out west! We ask for your ongoing prayers for them as they write, speak, write, revise, speak, counsel, and write some more—serving together with joy. Ask God to give them words of hope and encouragement, whether writing or speaking. May He make them channels of His love to families and marriages in New England and beyond.

And may He bless you and your family as well.
